In my house we have a list of chores that my two girls have to complete each week. I started making 60 minutes of playtime a day a “chore”. Unless there’s a circumstance where it can’t get done, if they don’t get their daily exercise then they don’t get their allowance…and believe me kids are willing to exercise if it means getting money!

Pennsylvania winters are long and brutal. It’s hard to keep my kids active when it’s too cold to go outside for long periods of time. We recently started memberships at our local YMCA and my kids LOVE it! They especially love going swimming in the pool. We go at least three times a week and try to do things as a family.

I recently made Creamy Greek Yogurt Mac n Cheese for dinner and my kids loved it! The Greek yogurt provides the creaminess so no heavy creams are needed! The yogurt also adds extra protein.
